Join us for this 3-hour workshop exploring how yoga can support and offer tools for managing and healing anxiety, providing practical applications on and off the mat to take into daily life.
Our anxiety can range from a gentle background hum to crippling fear and all the spaces in between. And so we often come to our yoga mats in the hope of finding a calmer place.
This calmer place is desirable and achievable through our yoga practice only if we have the right tools. Likewise, the wrong practice can aggravate our anxieties if we don’t have at least a basic understanding of the effects of our practices.
This workshop aims to offer you essentials practical tools to help empower your practice, care for yourself, and manage your anxiety on and off the mat. The workshop will consist of theory and practices including:
Yoga and breathwork to support and calm your nervous system resulting in a calmer body and mind
Accessible and reliable practices to help calm and focus the mind
Tips on practices to avoid
Simple theory to help us understand positive aspects of anxiety so that we can build a better understand and relationship with ourselves
Tips on integrating calming practices into daily routines
Practicing with like-minded humans offering a sense of community and reminding us that we are not alone offering enduring feelings of support
